Short description
YSNP! is a local couch multiplayer 2D shooter. You and a friend try to win a tug-of-war across multiple screens in a 1 vs. 1 battle. Eliminate your opponent with your weapon and interactive level objects, gain your turn, and try to get past him to the other side of the screen.
Game target
Eliminate your opponent with the help of your pistol, at close range using your fists or by shooting at interactive world objects. If a player is killed, they respawn after a short time, and the turn passes to their opponent (see arrow).
The other player then attempts to reach the opposite end of the screen, moving closer to their target screen by screen. If they die, the turn changes again, and the opponent tries to move back in the opposite direction. This results in a tug-of-war across several interactive battle arenas until one of the players reaches their target screen.
Who is YSNP! intended for?
YSNP! is for everyone who wants to compete in short couch multiplayer rounds (about 3 -10 minutes per round) without having to spend a lot of time on explanations or a complex storyline.
Your buddy comes over, you order a pizza, and you want to figure out who has more video game skill? Get YSNP! and find out in fun, short, but tactical rounds who's better at the keyboard and mouse or gamepad.
Your victories are saved in a scoreboard, so your individual rounds will grow into an epic battle over the years, and you can remind your friends again and again who's the boss when it comes to gaming.
Game world with interactive objects
To gain your turn, you can shoot directly at your opponent, use your fists at close range or you can shoot the interactive world objects. In that way you can attack your opponent with things like wasps, bottles from celebrating people, police water cannons, or pyrotechnics from football ultras.
Objects such as elevators, lifting platforms or a Ferris wheel will help you get past your opponent after you shoot the corresponding switch.
Easy to start - but tactical depth
Getting started with YSNP! is very easy, so you can jump right in. Nevertheless, the design of the screens, the movement, and the various interactive objects give it tactical depth. The more rounds you play, the better you'll know how to take down your opponent and how to get past them.
Notes
One player plays with a keyboard and mouse and the other with a controller, or both players play with controllers. You therefore need at least one controller to play YSNP!.
YSNP! is a local multiplayer game. There is no single-player mode. So just invite a friend and get started!
