Only 46 are real.
There are 1,000 slips of paper in the box. Only 46 of them are the "correct" hiragana that match the guide, from "あ" to "ん". The rest are katakana, kanji, and fake letters. Watch out especially for variant forms. The hiragana table sits at the top of the screen, and every empty cell shows a faint outline of the correct shape. Find the hiragana written in exactly that form.
No Japanese needed: just compare the shapes.
Why not take it slow with a cup of coffee, in a UI that looks like a nostalgic old PC desktop?
Just like sneaking a game of Solitaire at the office back in the '90s.
……Just watch out for the boss behind you.
