— THE BOOK OF SEALS
A hundred roads, ten realms
You wake on the Thorngate Marches with a blade that fell beside you and no memory of the hand that dropped it. Ahead lie a hundred roads, from the roots of the Veilwood down to the Black Throne, and each of the ten realms is held by a fallen Watcher who has made a crown out of the thing meant to contain him.
- VEILWOOD — roots of the first seal
- ASHEN CATACOMBS — bones below Hollowveil
- STORM SPIRE — the wizards' wind tower
- BLOOD MARSH — plague water and witchlight
- MIRROR SANCTUM — hall of false light
- SUNKEN RUINS — Dagon's drowned court
- IRON BASTION — war of demigods
- STARLESS VOID — the Watcher gravity well
- THRONE OF TYRANNY — the First Triad gauntlet
- BLACK THRONE — Zerachiel's last court
Sealed, never slain
A keeper is not killed. When his guard finally breaks you bind him — chains, a cage, the rite, and a road that goes quiet behind you. It is a harder thing to earn than a death, and it means every enemy you beat is still down there, somewhere, waiting on a seal that only holds while you keep walking.
A road that answers
- Hand-built, not generated. A hundred roads, each laid out by hand, each with its own furniture, its own hour, and its own way of killing you.
- Keepers with choreography. Bosses commit. They wind up, they overreach, and they leave you a window — learn the shape and the fight becomes a conversation instead of a wall.
- The Halo and the Charge. Abilities that change what a road is: what was a dead end at the start of a realm is a route by the end of it.
- A spoken world. Keepers, wanderers and the dead all have voices, and the road talks back whether or not you stop to listen.
- A Codex that fills as you walk. Every keeper met, every road closed, every fragment taken — kept, counted, and readable.
