Undead Frontline is a single-player side-scrolling zombie action game set on PC. Players control a survivor pushing through dangerous routes to reach the last evacuation bus, with streets, checkpoints, frozen passes, and woodland paths blocking the way.
Gameplay
The core loop centers on responsive side-scrolling combat that blends gunfire, close-range melee attacks, and character skills. Ammunition management matters, as does timing dodges against the horde. Players decide when to use limited resources like grenades, medkits, or backup calls during intense encounters. Oversized bosses and varied enemy types add pressure to each run through stylized zombie crowds.
Recruiting survivors forms the foundation of progression. Each new crew member brings distinct weapons and abilities. Coins collected during escapes fund permanent upgrades and supplies. Returning to earlier routes with improved gear raises evacuation ratings and unlocks better outcomes.
Game Modes
The game focuses on a single-player experience built around evacuation routes. Players advance through changing environments, defend extraction points, and board the bus to complete each run. Replayability comes from revisiting routes with upgraded survivors and supplies to achieve higher ratings.
Controls and Features
Input supports keyboard and mouse or an Xbox-compatible controller. The interface offers English and Simplified Chinese options. Steam achievements track progress, and the system retains that progress during offline play. Supplies and upgrades encourage repeated attempts at the same routes with different strategies.
Is It Worth Playing?
Undead Frontline suits players who enjoy focused single-player action with side-scrolling gunplay and melee. The emphasis on resource management, crew building, and route replays provides a clear loop for those seeking deliberate progression rather than open-ended exploration. As a compact indie title, it targets fans of zombie survival mechanics delivered through tight, repeatable escapes. With no released version available yet, interest depends on how the described systems appeal to personal preferences for controlled, upgrade-driven runs.
