Travelling to Woolokii is a 3D point and click adventure game developed for PC. Players take on the role of an explorer who becomes stranded on the island of Woolok after an expedition goes wrong. The story unfolds across multiple chapters that mix investigation, exploration, and narrative progression in a single-player format.
Gameplay
The core loop centers on point and click interactions within a three-dimensional environment. Players examine locations, collect clues, and interact with objects or characters to advance investigations. Navigation involves moving through detailed island settings that range from open areas to more confined spaces. Dialogue choices and evidence gathering drive the narrative forward, with the player often managing several threads at once as different cases overlap.
Exploration rewards careful observation. Hidden details in alleys, buildings, and natural surroundings can reveal new leads or background information about the island's history and inhabitants. The game emphasizes self-reliance after the initial stranding, requiring players to build connections with locals while piecing together the reasons behind the world's division and the exile of its former rulers.
Game Modes
The experience remains single-player throughout, structured around a chapter-based campaign. Each chapter presents a distinct mix of cases and locations, varying in structure to keep the pace fresh. Some sections follow a more direct path through a central conflict, such as a focused inquiry, while others spread across a larger area and require uncovering layered plots through free-form searching.
Progress depends on balancing immediate tasks with longer-term mysteries. Players decide how thoroughly to investigate their surroundings, with some clues presented openly and others requiring deliberate exploration to locate. This setup encourages repeated visits to areas as new information comes to light and connections between cases emerge.
Story and Setting
The narrative draws from a backstory of ancient rule by a conclave over Suori principalities, followed by a catastrophic split of the world and the rulers' departure. The player arrives as part of a modern expedition seeking this lost refuge but ends up isolated on Woolok. Daily life on the island involves helping its residents while gradually learning about its secrets and the events that shaped it.
Chapters introduce new settings and supporting characters that expand the scope of the mystery. The tone balances practical survival elements with investigative work, as the protagonist adapts to the unfamiliar yet strangely recognizable environment.
Is It Worth Playing?
Travelling to Woolokii suits players who enjoy methodical point and click adventures with a focus on story and exploration. The chapter format allows for varied pacing within a single-player structure, and the emphasis on discovering hidden details rewards attentive play. Since the game is scheduled for release in 2027 and currently has no user reviews available, prospective players should monitor updates from the developer for any changes to features or additional content details closer to launch.
