Gameplay

Base building involves placing workbenches, campfires, furnaces, anvils, smokehouses, walls, gates, spike traps, torch posts, and tide walls that provide an extra night of safety. Fishing adds depth with sixteen distinct species tied to specific waters and times of day, some granting temporary effects when eaten raw or prepared by roasting or smoking for doubled food value.
Combat relies on crafted weapons including clubs, knives, spears, bows, slings, cutlasses, anchors, harpoon crossbows, tridents, and boss-forged blades. Armor progresses similarly from cloth and bark to copper, iron, and final coral sets that appear visibly on the character model. Chests yield stackable powerups limited to the current run, while shrines present choices among three options. Three bosses appear on nights three, six, and nine; defeating them yields Tide Sigils needed to construct and activate a Beacon that calls the rescue ship.
Game Modes
The primary experience consists of full runs on fresh or seeded islands, with each attempt lasting roughly ninety minutes when completed successfully. Storm tiers unlock after a successful escape and increase enemy damage in exchange for greater Sea Glass rewards, with occasional rain adding environmental challenges.
Co-op supports up to three players through Steam invites or direct connections. Each participant maintains separate inventory, health, and powerups while sharing the same island layout. Enemy waves scale with group size, and fallen teammates can be revived by others at sunrise if the night is survived.
Progression and Replayability
Between runs, Sea Glass currency purchases permanent Workshop perks such as improved starting gear, a free chest at the beginning, or an extra life after defeat. Achievements grant cosmetic hats, shirts, and packs. A codex tracks every fish and creature encountered across playthroughs, encouraging repeated exploration of different islands and conditions.
Solo sessions allow saving between nights for flexible session lengths. The entire game runs on modest hardware thanks to its code-generated assets in Godot, with only the menu theme recorded live.
