Throughout the run, sustained tapping maintains momentum from green light to finish line, and any easing off registers immediately in the results.
Every vehicle operates according to real longitudinal dynamics rather than simplified stats. Torque curves, gear ratios, mass, drag, and rolling resistance determine how the car behaves. Clutch slip occurs under load, the rear axle squats during acceleration on rear-wheel-drive models, and tires heat up during burnout before cooling afterward. Weight transfer affects launches differently between rear-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive cars. A faster car wins in equal hands, yet precise and frantic tapping allows a lesser vehicle to remain competitive longer than expected.
Parts experience wear from aggressive use. Over-revving damages engines, repeated hard launches burn clutches, and overheating tires can fail. Earned money funds upgrades along four paths: engine, tires, gearbox, and clutch. The workshop allows direct investment in these systems after races on the strip.
Game Modes
Career mode pits players against an increasingly skilled field of opponents. Progress involves earning money to improve the car while facing tougher competition. Quick race allows a wager on the outcome for immediate stakes. Time trial lets drivers race against their own ghost for personal improvement. Online leaderboards track times and allow chasing the current leader's ghost run. Daily challenges provide fresh targets on a regular basis.
Multiplayer options include online leaderboards for asynchronous competition, LAN duels for local play against another machine, and two-player split control on a single keyboard. These modes emphasize direct skill comparison without external purchases or shortcuts.
Progression and Vehicles
Eighteen vehicles span several classes, all unlocked through in-game earnings rather than separate purchases. Each car carries distinct handling traits based on its specifications, encouraging experimentation with different setups. Upgrades and maintenance create a loop of racing, repairing, and refining the machine over time. The absence of microtransactions keeps all content accessible through play alone.
