Corporations don't need violence anymore — they have scanners, rank systems, and the quiet threat of being locked out. In Synapse City, your emotional score determines everything. Where you live. What doors open. Whether you make it through the night.
You are a former Synapse engineer who knows exactly how the machine works. That doesn't mean you know how to survive it.
Trust the wrong people. Feel too much in the wrong direction — and the city will notice.
Rely on emotional stimulants, dangerous connections, and whatever's left of your instincts to keep your score above zero. Steal forbidden code. Let someone get close enough to matter. In Synapse City, desire is just another thing the system can use against you — and sometimes the only thing keeping you sane.
