Sunken is an interactive mystery inspired by Chinese folk horror.
You play as Shen Du, the last heir to a family of river exorcists. Guided by a mysterious photograph, he returns to his hometown to investigate his mother’s death and a case everyone has tried to forget.
A red bridal gown drifts downstream. Children’s songs echo through empty reeds. Pale villagers smile while hiding the truth.
Beneath the muddy river, something long buried is beginning to awaken.
Twenty years ago, Shen Du’s mother died inside a temple that vanished soon afterward.
Now the temple has appeared again.
What begins with the body of a man frightened to death leads Shen Du into a series of disturbing cases: sacrificed brides, imprisoned women, human experiments, and villages awaiting destruction.
Every case points to the same ancient ritual.
The closer Shen Du gets to the truth, the clearer it becomes that something beyond human understanding is watching from beneath the river.
What does it want—and what price will it demand?
Ordinary sight reveals only surface clues. Shen Du’s supernatural vision exposes traces left by the dead and horrors hidden from the living.
But every use comes at a cost.
How much of your sanity will you sacrifice for the truth?
Use inherited ritual tools to identify supernatural threats, solve mysteries, and survive encounters with the unknown. Choose carefully—the wrong tool may cost you your life.
Explore ferries, mortuaries, ancestral halls, underwater temples, and abandoned altars. Investigation, puzzles, chases, stealth, and combat unfold throughout the story.
Danger will not wait while you decide.
Who will you save? Who will you abandon? Who will you trust—or deceive?
Your choices will change relationships, reshape key events, and determine the ending. If everything goes wrong, return to a crucial moment, choose another path, and discover where it leads.
Shen Du is not a fearless monster hunter.
He is a lonely young man burdened with an ability he never asked for—and the only person unwilling to look away.
Sunken is a story about secrets, obsession, and sacrifice.
How much must one man lose to bring the forgotten truth back to the surface?
