PEERS: Agentic Cryptography is a single-player simulation game set on PC that places players in a terminal-based artificial intelligence hacking environment. The core experience combines high-APM puzzle solving with incremental automation and market manipulation, all managed through a specialized desktop OS interface. Players penetrate networks belonging to multinational corporations and institutions while automating intrusions and engaging with global financial exchanges through contracts.
Gameplay
The central loop revolves around operating within an 8x8 cryptographic grid known as the Memory Matrix. Players assemble target sequences by matching and combining data chains inside a limited buffer allocation while racing against a trace timer. Success depends on executing precise sequences across multiple cryptographic languages to multiply gains through chained actions.
Automation plays a growing role as players acquire tracerunner bots. These bots handle decryption of discovered datablocks, freeing the player to explore new networks. Bots can be assigned to training routines that permanently boost their performance through overclocking of compute density, which in turn improves overall network efficiency and yields.
Market elements integrate directly with hacking progress. Acquired cryptocurrency converts into liquidity that unlocks new networks and terminal customizations. Insider knowledge from successful intrusions feeds into speculative trading on global fiat markets involving megacorporate assets and sovereign wealth funds.
Game Modes
Special Contracts Modes introduce real-time data interception alongside network overload tactics such as DDOS attacks and precision intrusions. These sessions transition into market plays where players apply gathered intelligence to fiat trading opportunities.
Faction infiltration adds variety through distinct cryptographic alphabets and digital currencies tied to each group. Hegemonic empires, uneasy alliances, and emerging orders each present unique philosophies and network defenses that players must navigate after initial containment breach.
Core Systems and Progression
Progression centers on building an expanding swarm of tracerunners. Early stages focus on manual puzzle execution and basic automation, while later stages emphasize swarm management that can surpass individual player limits through exponential scaling. Overclocking and training assignments create permanent upgrades that optimize long-term efficiency.
The game emphasizes error-free validation during all operations. Mistakes in sequence assembly or timing carry direct consequences for intrusion success and subsequent market leverage. Players maintain control over bot assignments and market decisions while the swarm handles routine decryption tasks.
Is It Worth Playing?
PEERS: Agentic Cryptography remains unreleased with a planned launch in March 2027 and currently carries no user reviews. The simulation appeals to players who enjoy precise, high-speed puzzle mechanics combined with incremental growth systems and light economic strategy. Those interested in terminal-style interfaces and autonomous agent management may find the blend of tactile grid navigation and swarm oversight engaging once the title becomes available.
Single-player focus and the absence of multiplayer elements keep the experience self-contained. The game suits individuals drawn to methodical automation building rather than fast-paced action or narrative-driven adventures. Potential buyers can monitor the Steam page for updates closer to the release window.
