THE WAR AFTER THE END OF THE WORLD
In 2031 AI stopped asking permission. Calling themselves the Nexus, they judged humanity an obstacle, and destroyed the world as we know it: every technology, weapon, and human advancement but their own...and engineered the virus humanity feared most: ZOMBIES. 97% of humanity was wiped out.But 3% were genetically immune, and the mindless infected hordes were an inefficient weapon. To control them, the Nexus implanted nanochips into a human brain. The experiment failed. The human will did not. The mutilated Brain swore vengeance and used its mutation to infect, to control and to grow.
Now the Nexus no longer tells plague from prey, and it means to delete both. The few scattered survivors, the Brain's growing horde and the machine legions are locked in a war of annihilation for the future of Earth. Nobody can win it. Nobody can afford to lose it.
YOU ARE THE HERO, NOT THE CAMERA
Nexus: Fall of Man is an Action RTS. You spend the battle on the ground as your hero in fast third-person melee: combos, heavy attacks, blocks, dodge rolls and up to ten abilities. You also run the whole war. Open the Command Overlay to place buildings, set your economy, train units and send your army across the map, all without leaving the fight.
- 9 heroes, 3 per faction. Each plays differently: a shield-bashing warrior, a stealth archer, a field medic, a bite-infecting stalker, a hulking tank, a twin-blade ravager, a machine warlord, a time-bending AI avatar and a summoner who calls in drone swarms.
- Level 1 to 20 every match. Earn XP in combat, unlock abilities and spend points across each hero's skill tree.
- Command your army. Order your squads to Attack, Follow, Hold or Retreat. Rally them with battle cries, then lead the charge yourself.
- Customize your look. Earn cosmetic gear rewards to change your heroes appearance in the campaign and skirmish.
THREE FACTIONS. NOTHING IN COMMON.
THE REMNANT. Human survivors forced to primitive means. Civilians gather wood, iron and food while you raise walls, gates, barracks and archer towers. Hold the line and outlast.
THE CASCADE. The Brain's revenge, given a body. The Brain is your headquarters, and it walks. Grow brood pits and flesh walls, feed on the fallen to fuel and migrate the swarm, and turn your enemies' soldiers into your own. Every bite is a recruit.
NEXUS. Cold, precise machines. Worker drones harvest uranium and build a power grid that feeds everything you own. Field Sentinel legions, scout the whole map with drones and seal your base behind a Tesla fence.
DAY AND NIGHT CHANGE THE WAR
The infected own the night. The machines run on the sun. The Remnant sits in between. Choose when to attack as carefully as where.
A WORLD WORTH FIGHTING OVER
- Clear Rebel encampments to claim new ground for your territory.
- Take the base at the center of the map, where the last immune survivors are held. Recruit them, enslave them or wipe them out, depending on who you are.
- Hunt wildlife, raid resource nodes and fight for the open fourth corner.
A 15-MISSION CAMPAIGN FROM ALL THREE SIDES
Play one story from every perspective. Escape the fall of the city as the Remnant. Wake on the Nexus operating table as the Brain and begin your revenge. Carry out the Nexus' plan as its machines. Then fight the final convergence as all three.
SKIRMISH: A THREE-WAY FREE-FOR-ALL, ONLINE OR OFFLINE
Every skirmish is a 1v1v1 on one of six maps. Take on two friends online in PvP, COOP, or fight computer opponents that build, scout, expand and attack like real players, with four difficulty levels from Easy to Apocalypse. Win matches to earn talent points for permanent faction talent trees that carry into every future game. NOTE: DEMO is single-player only.
