Here’s what we can reveal about the game so far:
A True FMV Adventure
This is a familiar Point & Click FMV adventure game for all retro gamers. Mr. Ashfish’s Distant Rehab draws direct inspiration from iconic titles like Phantasmagoria, Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within, and Under a Killing Moon. Step by step, explore rich environments, investigate points of interest, immerse yourself in the world of the "Rehab", and unravel a web of mysteries and intrigue!
A Unique Retro Gaming Experience
For the first time in video game history, an FMV adventure can run on hardware and software of any era—whether it’s a computer running MS-DOS or Windows 95, or a modern system.
True retro enthusiasts know that a game like this deserves a physical release that complements its vintage style (you can find more about that on the game’s website). But we’ve also created a digital edition for Steam, fully compatible with Windows 10/11, ready to launch right now—no need to dig up CD-ROM drives or vintage rigs!
And if you do happen to have an authentic machine from back in the day, you can pop the game CD into your retro PC and enjoy the experience exactly as the genre was meant to be played!
