Mags Must Be Reloaded is a first-person indie simulation game set in an underground lab where players manage ammo production and automated defenses against zombies.
Gameplay
The core loop centers on ordering supplies, pressing bullets into different calibers and specialized variants, then loading them into standard, extended, or drum magazines at the workbench. Players carry these magazines to a shooting range and equip up to five weapons across pistols, SMGs, rifles, and shotguns stored in the armory. Each shot fired earns cash directly, without any aiming mechanics required.
Progression involves expanding the arsenal through the workshop, where weapons receive modifications and high-capacity magazines. Workbenches gain upgrades such as autoloaders and overhead conveyors that deliver magazines straight to the range. Automated firing rigs can be installed to handle trigger pulls continuously. A skill tree improves walking speed, action speed, and magazine carrying capacity, allowing the entire bunker operation to scale toward full automation.
Game Modes
The game operates as a single-player experience focused on incremental management and production in one persistent underground lab environment. There are no separate competitive or cooperative modes confirmed at this stage.
Progression and Upgrades
Cash earned from shooting funds further automation, including conveyors, turrets, and expanded facilities. Players can also use C4 to access locked areas and summon larger threats for bigger rewards. The skill tree and workbench modifications create layered systems that reward steady optimization of the manual workflow.
Is It Worth Playing?
This title suits players who enjoy simulation games centered on crafting loops, resource management, and building automated systems. With its emphasis on satisfying mechanical actions like lever pulls and magazine loading combined with steady progression toward hands-off profit generation, it appeals to fans of incremental and idle-style mechanics in a first-person setting. The game remains in a coming-soon state with no user reviews available yet, so those interested in the described systems may wish to follow its development for release.
