Last Stream is a co-op action indie adventure game set on PC in which players control streamers who enter a long-abandoned house in search of viral footage. Up to four participants work together or alone to explore rooms filled with forgotten objects, restore scattered memories, and survive encounters with a ghost tied to the location. The experience blends investigation, puzzle solving, and tense evasion as the live stream runs continuously and viewers comment on every development in real time.
Gameplay
The core loop centers on methodical exploration of the house. Players search for clues hidden among old belongings and piece together the ghost's past by restoring specific memories. Each restored memory reveals more about the spirit's history and strengthens its presence in the environment. Lights flicker, doors shift, and visibility changes as the entity grows more active. When the ghost closes in, combat is not an option. Participants must locate hiding spots such as wardrobes or beds, remain still, and manage breathing to avoid detection.
Every action occurs under the gaze of an in-game audience. Chat messages appear on screen and react to discoveries, mistakes, or close calls. Viewer numbers rise with heightened tension, creating a feedback loop where increased attention coincides with greater danger. Streamers can customize their appearance and operate from a garage base between sessions to review findings and prepare equipment for the next broadcast.
Game Modes
The game supports solo play for those who prefer independent investigation. Online co-op allows groups of two to four players to coordinate searches, share hiding spots, and divide puzzle tasks. No separate competitive or versus modes exist. The single shared experience scales with player count while preserving the same objectives and ghost behavior across sessions.
The House and Its Ghost
The central location holds decades of accumulated memories that bind the ghost in place. Progress requires locating the strongest residual areas, examining personal items, and solving environmental puzzles that unlock fragments of the spirit's story. Restoring these pieces advances the narrative and simultaneously escalates the threat level. The ghost does not follow predictable patrol routes; its activity intensifies directly with each clue recovered, forcing teams to balance curiosity against survival.
The Streaming Experience
Throughout every run the camera stays live. On-screen chat provides constant commentary that mirrors real viewer reactions to shadows, screams, or successful hides. Higher engagement draws more spectators, which in turn amplifies the ghost's visibility and aggression. This system turns passive observation into an active element of gameplay, where player errors or dramatic moments visibly influence the in-game audience size and the entity's behavior.
Is It Worth Playing?
Last Stream suits players who enjoy cooperative horror focused on exploration and evasion rather than direct confrontation. The combination of memory-based puzzles, live chat integration, and hiding mechanics creates a distinct loop that rewards careful teamwork and quick decision making under pressure. Solo participants can experience the full story and tension without needing a group. The game offers no free modes or seasonal content updates at present. Those drawn to atmospheric co-op adventures with a streaming twist will find a focused experience built around investigation and survival. Groups that value communication and shared hiding strategies stand to gain the most from repeated sessions.
