Inside your hole is a casual sports mini golf game built around chaotic multiplayer sessions on PC. Up to eight players compete to sink shots while interfering with one another through power-ups and environmental hazards, with options for solo or co-op progression in a story mode that blends humor and reincarnation themes.
Gameplay
The core loop revolves around lining up putts with a slingshot-style control scheme. Players click and drag back from the ball to set power and direction before releasing to strike. Right-click cancels an aim if needed. Official courses such as Greengton, Weirdton, Snipington, Basket City, and Flying City feature bumpers, TNT crates, spinning obstacles, fans, and portals that alter ball physics in unpredictable ways. These elements turn each hole into an interactive playground where timing and adaptation matter as much as accuracy.
Power-ups add direct interference. Among the 28 available options are Tornado, Black Hole, Beer, Gas Giant, Super Size, Reversiball, Steal Power-Up, Ghost Ball, and Rewind. Some provide personal advantages while most disrupt opponents right before their shots. Random match modifiers like Falling TNT, Blackout, Speed Golf, and Steady Aim Forever can activate through voting, further shifting conditions mid-round.
Game Modes
Party Mode supports up to eight players online. Hosts create private rooms via join codes or players join Quick Play for matchmaking. Reconnection features allow dropped players to return to the same match. Voting determines the next hole, drawing from official courses, community-nominated maps, or a mystery option. Everyone participates in the selection process before each round.
Story Mode follows the narrative That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Mini Golf Ball and Defeated the Demon King. After a truck accident, the player becomes a mini golf ball in a celestial setting facing the reincarnated Lil' Truck-kun as a demonic boss. Sessions run solo or in co-op with up to eight players across themed rooms such as Surprise Audit, Overtime, and a Black Friday shop. Passive skills are selected between holes, and every shot doubles as a dodge mechanic. Chapter 1 appears in the free demo, with additional chapters planned.
Level Editor and Customization
The built-in editor lets players construct custom holes by placing platforms, ramps, bumpers, TNT, spinners, fans, portals, and power-up boxes. Surfaces can be painted in any color. Finished maps can be nominated for lobby votes so the group plays them immediately, or exported as files for sharing outside the game. Cosmetic options include eight hats along with ball trails and hole effects to personalize appearances during play.
Is It Worth Playing?
Inside your hole targets players who enjoy lighthearted party games with physical chaos and creative tools rather than pure competitive golf. The combination of interference mechanics, voting systems, and a level editor creates replayability through both official content and player creations. Story Mode adds a solo or small-group option with skill progression and dodge elements that differentiate it from standard mini golf. A free demo covering the first story chapter is available now, giving interested players a direct way to test the controls and power-up interactions before the full release in Q1 2027. Those drawn to casual multiplayer sessions with friends or community map sharing will find the most value here.
