Sixty Days. Three Women. One Decisive Choice.
Kabir Deshpande is thirty-three, newly laid off from a San Jose e-scooter startup, and living under a ticking sixty-day deadline he can’t negotiate. With recruiters flinching at a six-figure filing fee and legal advice shifting by the hour, he retreats to the Starlite Motor Inn by the airport—where the planes pass overhead like reminders and the office window offers a “60-day rate” to people exactly like him.
From there, one choice splinters into three intimate routes: Shelby, the motel owner whose half-joke marriage offer hides a real freefall; Halina, the manager who handed him his layoff and is now facing her own exit; and Ishani, the woman he left behind in Austin, opening her mother’s front door with a parcel from Pune and too much history in her eyes. Nobody is a villain. The world doesn’t deliver neat answers. But the heart insists on asking: who stays, who goes, and who pays.
Meet the Cast
Shelby Navarro — The Motel Owner
Shelby runs the Starlite Motor Inn like a one-woman hurricane—loud, funny, fast, and always half a step from disaster. She offers Kabir a marriage deal like it’s a special rate, but what she’s really bargaining with is fear of being left behind, one checkout at a time—and the possibility that this stranger might see her clearly enough to stay.
Ishani Kulkarni — The Choreographer
Ishani runs a Bollywood-dance fitness studio in a Sunnyvale strip mall and conducts her world with brisk commands, sharp humor, and physical certainty—except when it comes to her own feelings. She was Kabir’s girlfriend nine years ago before he took a California job without asking; now she tests him without warning, determined never to do the airport again… even if her body remembers him better than her pride wants to.
Halina Wrobel — The Manager
Halina is exact, procedural, and quietly intimidating—the kind of leader who can deliver bad news without flinching, until the same bad news comes for her. Kabir meets her again on equal ground, where anger turns into proximity and proximity demands payment: not in money, but in accountability, in truth said to the right person’s face.
Key Features
- Three distinct romance routes, one decisive choice: Branch into Marriage of Convenience, Hostile Reunion, or Second Chance, each resolving Kabir’s sixty days in a fundamentally different way.
- A grounded, contemporary setting with real pressure: Silicon Valley layoffs, uncertain rules, and the quiet economics of survival—treated as lived reality, not melodrama.
- No villains, no lectures—just consequences: Conflicts come from timing, scarcity, pride, and fear, with every route demanding a different kind of maturity from Kabir and his partner.
- A tactile protagonist voice: First-person, present-tense narration from an engineer who notices how things are built—and keeps fixing what he can.
