It is the year 6202. Humanity is extinct. AI once took over the human world, and vast radioactive clouds brought civilization on the surface crashing down. Meerkats surviving near the burrows gradually developed intelligence and began learning from the knowledge humanity left behind.They inherited human knowledge—and some very bad habits. Burrow War takes a straight-faced, darkly comic look at war and its absurd machinery. Five factions bring different abilities, while soldiers share the same base attributes and general-purpose weapons. You can plan carefully. The explosions may have other ideas.

We plan to bring Burrow War to Early Access and keep refining it with player feedback. Our plans include server-based online play for more reliable, convenient remote matches; improving voice quality and delivery, while exploring human voice acting; refining the soundtrack, music loops, transitions, and mix; and continuing to fix bugs, balance weapons, and improve localization and cultural expression.These are development plans. Server-based online play and the audio upgrades still need development and testing and should not be treated as features already provided. Their scope and timing may change with development progress, test results, and player feedback. We plan to share progress and make clear what is available and what is still being made.
We also plan to add animated story scenes made using AI-generated video. The scope and release timing will depend on production and testing progress.
