Alien Entity Hal-09 is a single-player third-person shooter developed for PC. Set in a world shaped by war and climate change, submerged cities hold scattered supplies amid flooded ruins. Players control Navy personnel Kaede Kuratsuki and Kozue Kuroishi as they venture into abandoned facilities to recover resources while pursuing a mysterious entity known as Hal.
Gameplay
The core loop centers on exploration and survival within hostile, waterlogged installations. Defense systems from past conflicts and mutated animal experiments patrol the corridors, forcing choices between direct confrontation and avoidance. Firearms form the primary combat tools, with Kaede able to handle a wide variety of weapons and carry extra gear due to her athletic build.
Resource management plays a central role. Characters must eat to maintain stamina for running, yet overeating leads to vomiting that disrupts progress. Long expeditions require restroom use beforehand to prevent complications. Failure to balance these needs quickly drains energy and limits mobility.
Death carries lasting consequences. Most inhabitants are clones whose genetic stability declines with each recreation. Repeated fatalities weaken abilities on future runs, raising the difficulty of subsequent missions. Kozue's expertise in genetic engineering allows her to recreate either character when one falls, but the process ties directly into the clone degradation system.
Light and water interact with the environment in specific ways during searches. The target entity Hal, a half-plant lifeform assembled from parts and combined DNA, recovers strength through photosynthesis when exposed to light and water. Players navigate these mechanics while deciding how to handle threats without compromising the overall objective.
Game Modes
The game offers only a single-player campaign. No multiplayer modes, co-op sessions, or competitive elements appear in the available information. All progression and decision-making occur within the solo experience focused on the two protagonists and their mission.
Characters and Setting
Kaede Kuratsuki serves as the combat-focused half-beast clone with silver hair and exceptional strength. She excels at carrying supplies and using diverse firearms. Kozue Kuroishi acts as the medic and pure human clone with long black hair, specializing in genetic work that enables recreations after death. Their partnership drives the narrative as they search for Hal, the half-plant entity tagged HA-1_09 and created from their combined DNA.
The world reflects ongoing environmental collapse, with ocean waters covering former urban areas. Facilities retain automated defenses and experimental creatures left from wartime projects. Players weigh the risks of engaging these threats against the need to preserve character health for continued exploration.
Is It Worth Playing?
The title remains unreleased with a planned date listed as to be announced. No user reviews or ratings exist yet on major platforms. The described mechanics emphasize careful planning around hunger, fatigue, and clone stability rather than fast-paced action alone. Players interested in single-player shooters that incorporate survival elements, stealth options, and permanent consequences from repeated deaths may find the systems engaging once available. Those seeking immediate multiplayer options or established community feedback should monitor the release for updates on support and reception.
