Abyss Floors is a free to play semi idle dark fantasy MMORPG built for long term progression on PC. Players engineer their characters through deliberate choices in builds, gear, and locations rather than relying on real time reflexes. The game emphasizes a shared economy and persistent world where every decision compounds over months or years.
Gameplay
Combat runs automatically on server ticks and appears as a live color coded log that records every hit, crit, dodge, kill, and drop. Skill comes from preparation instead of button inputs. Players select a weapon archetype from nine options, each with its own skill tree, then assemble gear across six rarity tiers up to Mythic. An 836 item catalog includes 321 weapons that carry real trade offs in playstyle.
The world consists of nineteen zones that descend from the surface Threshold to the Void Absolute five hundred levels down. These layers include the Hollow Mire, Crimson Marches, Drowned Cathedral, Godgrave, Silence, and Erasure. Each zone contains hunting spots divided into sub spots suited to throughput, resources, elites, or bosses. Monster density adjusts based on player activity in the area. Offline progression continues while away from the game, and the experience runs in a browser or desktop client with phone support.
Progression has no hard level cap. A soft cap slows advancement but never stops it. Weapon mastery rewards consistent use of one archetype. Gold remains conserved in a dupe proof economy with faucets balanced against sinks and taxation on large holdings to prevent permanent dominance. All valuable items trade on an open player market.
Game Modes
The core loop centers on three interconnected activities. Farming involves choosing a hunting ground matched to level and build, then letting automated combat generate experience, gold, resources, and loot. Upgrading covers enchanting gear with risk based systems, tempering for guaranteed improvements, rolling multi affix rarities, crafting alternatives, and investing in a personal house. The house features fifteen room types that provide compounding benefits such as cheaper forging, faster experience gain, combat stats, storage, and improved offline rewards. Most rooms scale without a level limit though costs rise exponentially.
Conquering adds territory control and opt in player versus player elements. Players can flag for PvP in contested rooms or dedicated zones, form clans with a three role hierarchy, shared treasury, and Clan Hall buildings that buff members. A karma system tracks player status from white to purple to red, with consequences for kills. One fully open PvP zone exists alongside hot pockets inside otherwise safe areas. The richest resources sit in these contested spaces.
Progression and Economy
Every level, enchant, and rare drop represents a meaningful event in a living shared economy. Wealth above certain thresholds faces taxation. The best gear comes from drops, crafting, or market trades rather than direct purchases. Clans manage territory and treasury while individual houses quietly multiply gains over time. Permanent progress means characters, items, and currency carry forward without wipes at launch or later.
The developer runs this as a solo project with early access beginning October 1 2026 and full release on December 1 2026. Alpha testing is available now. Balance adjustments remain ongoing especially in deeper zones.
Is It Worth Playing?
Abyss Floors suits players who enjoy methodical long term planning in a massively multiplayer setting over fast paced action. The semi idle structure allows meaningful advancement during offline periods while decisions about builds, camping locations, and risk versus reward drive engagement. Opt in PvP and clan systems add social layers without forcing constant conflict. Those seeking quick sessions or twitch based combat may find the tick based log system less immediate. The game targets dedicated players comfortable with progression measured across extended periods and a player driven market where prices reflect actual supply and demand. Early access status means rough edges and ongoing balance work remain part of the experience.
